Collaboration
The success of any therapy is based first on the comfort of the client with the provider. Rapport is a key element to feeling seen and heard within the context of our time together. Collaboration is more than just a pro-active engagement; it is a way in which I come to understand how best you receive information and apply it to your life. My job is to assess the quality of your daily functioning and come up with strategies that feel attainable.
Many clients that enter therapy sometimes feel as though they go and might never receive any “tools” to support their feeling better. I have found that a key element in the therapeutic process is ensuring that our work together is realistic, promotes actions that you can reasonably participate and incorporate insight that offers new information from which to make different choices or respond to situations better. Therapy is not the only answer, it is a part of the collective strategies we take to support a life that feels meaningful and satisfying. My job is to work with you in order to create a greater wholeness to all parts of your daily experience.
